Mengibar is a 15th-century listed building in Mengibar, near Jaen. It offers free Wi-Fi, and features Roman thermal baths and a spa. The rooms at the Palacio de Mengibar each have a different design. This includes many antiques. Ground floor rooms come with a four-poster beds. The Arabic Room serves special Arabic products. There is a range of teas and pastries. A spacious terrace is also available. The General Reding restaurant is situated in the palaces former stables. This historic setting was chosen by General Reding before the Battle of Mengibar. The restaurant offers regional food using local products. It is open at weekends and closes in the summer months, when lunch and dinner are served on the outdoor terrace. A buffet breakfast is offered daily. The Palacio de Mengibar is in the town centre, next to the Town Hall and the Torre rabe. The UNESCO World Heritage Sites of beda and Baeza are both within a short drive. The spa is open in the evening from Monday to Friday, and in the morning and evening at weekends.
