In this quaint, historic town, there can be no better place to stay than a hotel that is a mix of the old and the new. Located in Ban Chan village, the resort is across the Mekong River and be reached in 30 minutes from the airport, halfway by car and then a short ferry ride. The resort is also the only place in the city making traditional pottery, and guests can try a hand or just be appreciative observers. At the riverside restaurant guests can enjoy local cuisine plus Asian and Western dishes. Guests can even choose to enjoy a meal in the open by the river. Chanthavinh Resort and Spa is indeed worth visiting!
