Located just five kilometers northwest of the Margaret River township and set in a historic dairy farming country, Bussells Bushland Cottages occupies 50 acres of pristine forest and is a Land for Wildlife property. The eight rammed-earth cottages were fully refitted between 2011 and 2013 and are spaced apart in order to provide privacy and tranquility. Walking trails crisscross the property and visitors can view kangaroos among other small animals and many bird varieties as they stroll amongst the forest and around the perimeter. The bush block has many examples of towering jarrah and marri as well as two varieties of banksia, peppermint, western woody pear, and snotty gobble. Its particularly attractive from late September to early November when wildflowers are out in profusion. Bussells Bushland Cottages is just a five-minute drive from Margaret River townships three supermarkets, variety of shops, bars, and restaurants, and it is within easy driving distance of beaches, chocolate and cheese factories, numerous wineries, superb coastal scenery, and all the major attractions of this wonderful region. Its a self-catering property, and apart from a simple starter breakfast which is provided for the first morning, guests need to self-cater or eat out at one of many restaurants.
