Bill Bensley, an architect guru, designed The Siam Hotel. It is a unique display of pure spectacle with a river view from its beautiful boat. An ancient Thai house has been restored to its original glory and used as an intimate restaurant. The vast property is visible behind them via wide walkways and steps. Through the covered inner court, you will pass luxury villas that have their own courtyards and swimming pools. Three levels of rooms are beautifully decorated and surround a large reflecting pool that is surrounded by enormous banana trees. A huge, Moroccan-style courtyard is enclosed by a spa with treatment rooms in princely portions. As it is in all Bensley-designed hotels, scale is the main theme. With only 39 rooms, the public area occupies far more space than that of the residential. The design incorporates antique details into all the buildings. The design features include antique doors, pillars and window-frames as well as screens and door-handles. There are also unique pieces of furniture and sculptures that are part of the design. The Siam Hotel is the perfect place to find Asian-inspired hospitality.
