The Kusuma Sahid Prince
Solo Hotel was once a royal residence. It is located in a quiet location just outside of the city center and exudes traditional Javanese charm. This property is only 15 minutes from the airport and conjures up images of grand palace parties featuring exotic princesses, traditional Gamelan music, and more. The royals are gone but the grand atmosphere and Gamelan orchestra, which plays live every night in the Grand Hall of the 19th century, remain. The original pendopo pavilion as well as some modern wings make up the grounds. They convey a sense of tranquility and majesty. The elegant rooms, large pool, and exquisite seafood meals are all part of the resort's charm. Although the Sahid Kusuma may be a bit out of town, a complimentary transfer to the airport can be arranged. Cabs can also easily be rented outside for guests who wish to visit the Solos malls or the batik markets.
